Health and social care organizations are always supportive to the significant life events affecting the people regardless of their age, race and religion (Ellsberg et al. 2015). This study will evaluate the organizational policies of Women’s Aid mentioned in task 1 towards supporting the individual and the social network affected by Domestic Violence. The study will also describe the support of others in the social network for supporting the individuals affected by domestic violence. The study will describe all the points in regards to the case study mentioned in task 1. The study will also analyze the organizational response and recommend the organization towards better support for domestic abuse.
Research and Publication Policy
All the works of Women’s Aid is underpinned by the concrete evidence base. All through the year, the organization conduct huge researches projects of various social issues. Moreover, they also support the university researches and published data on the social issues. It always ensures that the organization is leading the social supports properly based on exact data and evidence on domestic violence (Womens Aid 2017). In this way, the organization will be able to provide effective support to Mrs. Jennifer Brown, as per the level of domestic violence.
The social workers of the organization actively listen to the survivors regarding the types of domestic violence they are facing. In such situation, women face difficulties and confusion in sharing their domestic abuse they are facing. In members of the organization actively listen to the survivor and provide effective support to the survivor (Foshee et al. 2015). This policy is high effective towards providing effective social support to the survivors. In the scenario mentioned in task 1, the organization has actively listened to the women and taken initiatives towards helping her from preventing domestic violence.

The organization believes in the fact that everyone can have some roles towards ending domestic violence. Through this policy, the community people help the survivors towards identifying the domestic violence and ask help to the organization (Huffingtonpost.co.uk 2017). In this way, the community friend of Mrs. Jennifer Brown had let the organization know about her domestic abuse.
As per this policy of Women’s Aid, the organization provide constant training and learning to all its members. Moreover, the intension of this policy is to provide specialist support to the survivors (Devries et al. 2013). Furthermore, the organization offers sustained independence and freedom to the affected women and social network.
Support from Friends and Families
Friends and families have significant role towards supporting the victim of domestic violence. They can help the victims for recognizing the abuse that they are facing. Moreover, the support from the friends and families can boost the confidence level of the victims towards protesting the domestic violence they are facing (Michau et al. 2015). While considering the case of the task 1, the parent of Mrs. Jennifer Brown can support her a lot towards fighting against the domestic violence, she is facing. Moreover, her friends can also help her in protecting herself from the domestic violence. In this case study, the neighbor has supported her a lot towards protecting her from the domestic violence.
Community can take active prevention measures towards supporting the victimized women. The community engagement initiatives can be highly influential towards providing support to the victims. Community can actively gather the current case studies on domestic violence and let them known to the health and social care organization (García-Moreno et al. 2015). In this way, effective and proper initiatives can be taken for supporting the victimized women.
Family or domestic violence has significant impact on the workplace. Moreover, it can results in increasing absenteeism rate due to court orders or appointments of doctors. Furthermore, it can also reduce the productivity of victim due to sleep deprivation and stress (Modi, Palmer and Armstrong 2014). Therefore, employers have significant role in supporting the victim for fighting against the domestic violence. Moreover, shorter leaves and work schedules provide by the employers can be highly valuable for the victim towards protecting them from the domestic violence.
Suitability of friends and family support
Friends and family can support the victim in regards to respect her right towards making her own decision. Moreover, the support of friends and family can be suitable for the victim towards giving the temporary assistance (García-Moreno et al. 2015). For instance, the neighbor of Mrs. Jennifer Brown gave her temporary safe place to stay for avoiding domestic abuse. Furthermore, some level of regular contact with the victims from the part of friends and families can boost their confidence level for protesting the domestic abuses.
The support from the community can have long term affect on the victim towards protesting the domestic violence. Community can take active steps towards letting the health and social care organizations regarding the domestic violence (Cattaneo and Goodman 2015). Hence, support of community is highly suitable for the victims, as it can help in getting lawful actions against the domestic abuse.
The support of employer is suitable for the victims, who are working in some organizations. This support can boost the power of victims towards fighting against the domestic violence and enhance their scope to protect them from the abuses (Khalifeh et al. 2015).
Primary Intervention
In primary investigation, the organization can immediately investigate the occurrence of domestic violence (De Koker et al. 2014). In case of Mrs. Jennifer Brown, the organization should immediately investigate her house and rescue the victim from the domestic abuse. In this intervention, the organization should call the police and arrest the drunken husband of Jennifer Brown. Moreover, the organization can also provide temporary shelter for the victim towards giving her safe environment.
In the secondary intervention, the organization can question Mrs. Jennifer Brown towards identifying the exact reasons behind the domestic violence. Moreover, the organization can also measure the frequency of the domestic violence that she has been facing over the years. In this intervention, the organization can assist the Mrs. Jennifer Brown towards initiating legal proceeding against her husband for the domestic abuse.
The organization can also assist Mrs. Jennifer Brown towards returning back in her stable mental condition and back to her regular life work life. Moreover, the organization can also help the child of the victim towards overcoming the shock of the domestic violence (Cattaneo and Goodman 2015). The organization should offer counseling to both the victim and her child towards regaining their confidence level.
Offering Better Employment
The organization should provide better employment options for the victim towards making them economically developed. It can make her more confident towards protesting against the domestic abuses and make her child secure.
The organization should enhance the community awareness towards ending up the domestic violence and making a healthier community. On the other hand, the organization should also educate the community more against the severe impact of domestic violence.
The organization should provide more number of specialized services as per different types of domestic violence. Moreover, this specialized service can help the victim towards getting proper support for her domestic violence.
Conclusion
While concluding the study, it can be said that Women’s Aid has wide research and publication policy. It helps the organization towards initiating evidence based support. The organization also has education and public awareness policy, which educates the communities towards taking effective actions against domestic violence. Furthermore, the victim of domestic violence can get effective support from their friends and families and communities. In the case of Jennifer Brown, she got effective help from her neighbor. The possible response of the organization against the specific domestic violence would be primary intervention, secondary intervention and counseling. However, the organization should initiate more numbers of specialized supports towards helping the victim.
