Dsicuss about the Identification Of Strategy Implementation Influence.
Sole Rebels is an organization which has its origin in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The country is heavily dependent on the foreign aid that is provided to them so that they are able to access the foreign markets. The organization was established in the year 2005 by an entrepreneur from the local area named Bethlehem Alemu. The main innovative idea that was implemented by her was based on the production of goods with the help of recycled products. The entrepreneur was able to see a business opportunity in many people. The products that were offered by the organization were made with the help of various recycled products which were also quite fashionable in nature (Hitt et al. 2017). The company mainly produces various types of shoes which were to be used by the people of the country. The main aim of the company was to create jobs for the local people with the help of the successful operations.
The organization has been able to find opportunities to enter the various international markets. The use of innovative methods and the strong social message that was given by the company was an important factor that further led to popularity of Sole Rebels. The company further expanded its operations in other countries like, USA, Australia and Canada. The products were also produced online with the help of Amazon which is considered to be a retail giant in the online area.
The international expansion strategy that has been able to help in increasing the revenues of Sole Rebels is related to making low investments on the infrastructure in the international areas. The business organization can therefore wait till the operations in the international markets are matured and it is in the position to set up the stores. The organization has made a strong investment in the human resources which have been helpful in the recruitment of local workers for the various posts in Sole Rebels. The local recruitments have played a major role in improving the conditions of the country and the reputation of the organization in the market (Olson et al. 2018). The local employees have also helped in the formation of the market penetration plans for Sole Rebels. They have also provided updates regarding the situation that is prevailing in the local market so that the organization is able to offer the products accordingly. The company has further used innovative methods for the development of its products in the industry. The suppliers of the organization have been decided in an effective manner and the owner of Sole Rebels has been constantly providing the suppliers with the samples and e-mails to improve the relationships with them. The company has also used the internet based opportunities in an effective way to provide the products of Sole Rebels to a wider range of audience (Luthans and Doh 2018). The business has been successful in providing jobs to a huge number of people by using discarded materials for the purpose of manufacturing products. The company has not invested huge amounts for the purpose of entering the international markets. On the other hand, the entrepreneur has tried to offer the products to customers with the help of online retail platforms like Amazon and the physical suppliers who are operating in the market. This process has been helpful for Sole Rebels for creating a unique position in the market and providing others with opportunities to grow along with the company. The organization however, still remains a family firm which is run under the strict guidance of Bethlehem who is a local entrepreneur (ul Musawir et al. 2017). The prices of the products have also been set quite low as compared to the products that are offered by other organizations in the global areas. The customers are able to analyse the soles of the shoes and further the products are cut to their appropriate sizes. The main aim of the organization is to provide innovative and high quality products to the customers on a global level at low prices. The products are designed in a unique manner and are made by using materials which are recyclable in nature. This unique offering of the organization has been able to provide huge growth related opportunities to Sole Rebels to grow in the market in a successful manner (Hitt, Li and Xu 2016).
Bata is not a familiar name in the United Kingdom, however, the company has gained the position of one of the largest retail organizations in the world. The headquarters of the organization is located in Laussane, Switzerland. The products of the company are manufactured and provided in 50 countries in the world and the production facilities are set up in the 25 countries. The customer base of the organization is high and Bata has sold more 14 million pairs of shoes all over the world. The organization further aims at staying ahead of the competition in the market with the help of its products and the processes that are implemented for the manufacture of shoes in the various factories of Bata. The ability of the company to deal with the shocks that have been provided by the new marketing environment in various countries (Ahearne, Lam and Kraus 2014). The organization was established in the year 1894 in Zin, which is now known as the Czech Republic. The founder of the company was a descendent of the family of cobblers and has been making shoes for centuries. The growth of the organization had started at the time of the World War 1 as the company started getting orders for military boots and many other products. The organization has been further described as the “Henry Ford” of the eastern parts of Europe. The company was concerned about the employees who were part of its operations and built houses for them. The employees were also provided by recreation facilities by the organizations. The company had played an important part in the World War and the effects that had been caused in Czech Republic. The ownership of Bata had changed after the death of Thomas in the year 1932 (Bamberger, Meshoulam, and Biron 2014).
The business was further taken over by his brother in the same year and new products were added to the existing product line of the organization in the various expanded areas in the world. The base of the operations was then changed to Toronto after the ownership had come in the hands of Ian. The company was however nationalised after the conviction of Ian in the year 1945.
The business was known in the world as Bata Shoe Company from the 1970s. The international strategy that has been implemented by Bata Shoe Company for entering the international markets is based on the formation of clear product strategy so that the markets can be targeted in an easier way (Dayan, Heisig and Matos 2017). The organization has been able to change its operations and policies with respect to the changes that have occurred in the external business environment. Bata Shoes Company has maintained its profitable position in the market in spite of the various shocks that the organization had faced in the market due to the external forces. The business was nationalised after the conviction of Ian and it was named as Svil. The new CEO of the organization Thomas was asked to invest in the business operations of Svil. The CEO was not able to gain the entire ownership pf the business, however, a number of stores were bought by him. The CEO further formed partnerships with the various establishments in the countries like, Poland, Russia and Croatia (Alharthy et al. 2017). The business was then conducted in these areas under the name of the Bata Shoe Company. Many private labels were also added to the existing product line of the company. This had helped in the expansion and operations of Bata in various countries. The original organization was not in an operating state, however, the name of the Bata family business was held quite high in the Czech Republic. The business was thereby affected in a huge manner by the changes that have occurred in the external environment. The company has lost all its original operations in the market, however, the name still exists as the company has been able to achieve high standards of development in the market (Speculand 2014). The international strategy that was applied by Bata in the later stages have thereby been able to create the name of the company in the various markets. The bankruptcy that has been faced by the company in the year 2000 has been the major reason behind the loss of the entire business. Although the international strategy undertaken by Bata regarding the care that they used to take of the employees and the addition of new products after entering the global markets was effective, the high impact of the external environment had caused huge pressure on the organization (Hyväri 2016). The company had been dealing with the external shocks in an effective manner however, the high involvement of the members of the organization in the political issues had led to the conviction of the CEO which was the major reason behind the nationalisation of the company. The ownership was also taken by the family completely after this issues and the family was totally lost in the process. The company was revived by the new CEO of the organization with the help of internationalization strategy that has been implemented. The name of the company was also saved to some extent by purchasing some of the stores and providing its products to the customers of the international locations (Engert and Baumgartner 2016). Therefore, it can be said that Bata was able to survive the shocks in the external environment for a considerable amount of time. However, the extreme involvement of the members of Bata in the political processes had caused issues for the organization and it was privatised.
The National Health Services or NHS is a large public sector organization in Rotterham. The retired CEO and a television presenter Gerry Robinson had spent a considerable amount of time in the trust hospital of NHS. The main aim or task that had been undertaken by Robinson is based on the reduction of the waiting times and the waiting lists in the hospitals. Robinson further engaged with the hospital managers, anaesthetists and the sisters in the operation theatres to bring about changes in the operations of the hospitals and reduce the issues that are faced by the patients (Rugman and Verbeke 2017). The various employees of the hospitals were not always up to the changes that were proposed by Robinson. Some of the employees were quite collaborative in nature, while others were not in favour of the changes that were needed to be made in the hospital operations to provide better services to the patients.
The culture of change was not at all present among the staff of the organization. The members of the staff were thereby not a part of the various changes that were to needed to be implemented in the operations of the hospitals. The main purpose that was present behind the steps taken by Robinson was related to the chance that will be provided to the entrepreneurs within the organization to take steps regarding change implementation process. The strategies that were being thought by Robinson required to be different for the different sectors in the organization (Ho, Wu and Wu 2014). The whole process was thereby aimed at including the local people in the improvement of health care services that the hospitals provide to the people of the area. The CFO of the organization was thereby encouraged by Robinson to make rounds of the floors and talk with the staffs in a routine manner. The intervention that was made by Robinson to make changes in the hospitals had affected the confidence of the staff so that they are able to try out the changes within the operations of the hospital. Many initiatives were designed for the implementation in the organizational processes which are, one extra patient on the lists of the consultants of the various clinics which can improve the waiting lists (Morschett, Schramm-Klein and Zentes 2015). The consultants need to switch between two lists per day rather concentrating on a single list. The parallel lists of the operations theatres where the consultants and the teams were able to work in an adjacent manner so that the capacity can be used in an effective way. The operation theatres need to be allocated in a routine manner. The implementation of these initiatives can be effective in increasing the efficiency of the services that are provided to the patients of the hospitals. The leaders who can champion change need to have specific characteristics which can help them in implementing changes successfully in an organization. The willingness of the leaders to listen to the new ideas and the openness that is showed by them towards creativity is a major characteristic that forms change champions (Radomska 2015). The change champions also need to be good networkers so that they are able to connect with the members of the organization and help them in creating new methods that can be followed in the change process. The change leaders or champions need to focus on the solutions that can be received after the changes are implemented successfully within the organizational processes. The leaders also need to have a thorough understanding of the organization in which they wish to implement the change in an effective manner. The culture of the organization and its strengths are major factors that can help in the successful implementation of change in operations (Lechner and Gudmundsson 2014).
Change management has been constant in the public sector organizations and the evolution of new technologies has further led to the increase in the pace of changes that are taking place in this sector. The improvements that have been experienced in the different areas of public sector organizations have further led to the changes that have taken place in the others. The challenges that have been experienced in the public policies and the regulations that are formed by the government have caused complexities in the various processes. The public stakeholders have become much more demanding and transparency has increased. Intense pressures are now being experienced in the sector where the resources are also limited (Birken et al. 2015). The management of change has become much more important for the public sector organizations in health care industry. The managers in the public sector organization need to understand the value of change management. The change process can be implemented in the health care organizations by looking into the operations that are going on within the organizational processes. The second step that is related to the implementation of change is to gain agreement of the staff or the employees of the health care organizations. The third step is related to gaining approval of the change that is being planned to be implemented in the hospitals (Vance and Paik 2014). The fourth step of the change implementation process is related to the development of the final plan which can be implemented in the organization in an effective manner. The final step is related to the implementation of the plan so that the changes can be successfully made in the different organizational processes. The implementation of change process is needs to go through these five steps to successfully change the various processes of the public sector organizations. Robinson had taken steps to bring about changes in the processes and the policies of NHS so that the waiting time of the patients can be reduced. The reduction of waiting time can lead to better services being provided to the patients who visit the hospitals (Kuunders et al. 2017). Robinson therefore needs to follow the five steps that are related to the successful implementation of change in the health sector organizations and further encourage the staff of the organization so that they are able to accept the changes and take part in this process in an active manner. The participation of the employees in the change process is important for the successful operations of the organization. The health sector is considered to be quite sensitive in nature and the employees also need to work in a sensible manner to provide the best services to the patients. This will further increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the various organizational processes. The proposed changes are thereby important for the high quality effective services to the patients.
