Subject: Change of gym
This study is based on the Todays Technique college gym. A brief outline has been created outlining all its major disadvantages which are the main cause of the falling rate of numbers in the gym. The decision to change to Goodlife gym has been thoroughly highlighted in this study. These aspects have been briefly discussed among the college authorities as requested by you.
I briefed them about the current situation that all students are facing and how changing to Goodlife gym would benefit everybody, especially because it has no fixed timing. Therefore, I request you to pay attention regarding this matter so that all students can be equally benefitted from this change.

Todays Technique is a college gym which provides fitness services to its students. However, the time limit for doing the workout is limited in this gym. On the other hand, the Goodlife gym provides 24 hours services at the same price as Todays Technique. Therefore, this report focuses on the core aspect as for why the change from Todays Technique to the Goodlife gym is very necessary for the college. The importance of gym passes for college students have also been highlighted in this report which describes the need of students for better facilities so that they can balance their student life quality by keeping themselves fit.
In the 21st century, it is of utmost importance to keep one’s body and mind fit for daily functioning. As per the view of Andreasson & Johansson (2014), putting some time and effort in the gym works wonders to the body. However, there are various aspects such as time and money which play a vital role in joining a gym, especially for a college student. In this case, although the Todays Technique is a gym for college students it does not have the adequate equipment required by students so that they can do proper exercises. However, Goodlife gym provides a much better service as compared to Todays Technique gym. The latter gym has quite a few types of equipment regarding leg exercises; however, all equipment is not up to the mark for the long run (Martinez, Harmon, Nigg, Bantum & Strayhorn, 2016). Another one of the disadvantages of Todays Technique gym is that it provides gym passes of 50 for $30 or $20 per semester but the time is not in accordance with the students.
In the Goodlife gym, the gym passes are provided at the same rate; however, the gym is open at all hours and welcomes students according to their needs. According to Allain & Marshall (2017), college students have a lot of work to do besides studying such as part-time work, doing projects that take a lot of their time. Therefore, when it comes to health, it mostly gets ignored because of their packed up schedule. Thus, it can be asserted that moving from Todays Technique gym to Goodlife gym is essentially an idea that will benefit various students in the long run. The Goodlife gym has also made the process of obtaining gym passes a lot easier (Maheedhar, Gaurav, Jilla, Tiwari & Narayanan, 2016). According to the new process, one does not have to be physically present with documentation proof in order to get the passes. Goodlife gym has updated its website portal with a new page for gym passes.
One student has to upload their ID proof only once and when they are verified, students can directly print out the gym passes. This process can continue up until the student wants to continue doing the gym. The students will no need to upload their document proofs again and again; they can simply access the pass by logging into their Goodlife gym account. Therefore, through the aid of this medium, students have to pay a lot less time acquiring their gym passes. On top of that, the Goodlife gym has better and innovative exercise types of equipment such as full body benefit types of equipment along with strength enhancer equipment. Thus, it is ideal for students to shift from Todays Technique gym to Goodlife gym.
The fitness industry is growing at a rapid rate as observed in the market; there has been a 6.6% of an increase in the total market volume of this industry in Canada in recent years (ibisworld.ca, 2018). As more and more people are becoming health conscious, especially the younger generation, adequate equipment are necessary.
This aspect is fulfilled by the Goodlife gym due to which it is better for students to shift from Todays Technique. As seen in figure 2, the need for treadmills is going to rise in the upcoming years. It is because of the different advantages it provides to one’s health. Todays Technique is not devoid of treadmills but it has only 4 to 5 which make the other students wait in the queue while Goodlife gym has triple the number.The fitness and exercise industry makes annualrevenue about $3 billion in Canada where 20% are children and adolescents and rests 70% adults(Refer to Appendix 2).

Conclusion
In the present generation, it is of utmost importance to keep oneself healthy. Todays Technique and Goodlife gym are two different gyms which provide the facility for exercise for a better future. However, on thorough research it has been identified that Goodlife gym has more facilities than the one provided in Todays Technique gym. Along with better facilities, the former remains open for 24/7 and thus, students can utilise their time for exercise according to their schedules. Therefore, this study has helped in conducting a thorough analysis of the fitness market along with financial projections of the Goodlife gym where its profit for future years has been accessed. Thus, according to the comparison between Todays Technique and Goodlife gym, the latter provides much better facilities as well as an adequate manner of getting gym passes without much trouble. Therefore, it is safe to say that the Goodlife gym is a better choice for college students who have time-restrictions but want to keep themselves healthy at the same time.
