I think the most unethical person in “The Alligator River Story” is Gregory. On my point of view Gregory is the most unethical person in the story. Because the story tells that Abigail and Gregory are lovers, as the man in the relationship he should have obtain the initiative and made his efforts to cross the river in able to be with her lover Abigail on the opposite shore. Although, Abigail is in loved with her lover, it is unethical for Gregory to just let Abigail take the effort and cross the river to be with him.
Therefore, Gregory should recognize his responsibility as the lover of Abigail to protect her from harm.
“The Alligator River Story” is a tale in which reveal different unethical actions on its characters. In the story I have observed more than one unethical issue. The first one is the unethical issue on Gregory, as a man he should have taken the bigger responsibility to cross the river in able to be with her lover Abigail on the other shore of the river.
The second one is the unethical issue on Sinbad when he asks Abigail to go with him in bed in exchange for the favor that Abigail raises to him.
Although, Sinbad had fulfilled his pledge to Abigail to take her across the river jam-packed with alligators it is unethical to take advantage on the desperation of Abigail to be with Gregory on the opposite shore of the river. Another unethical issue is the scenario in which Ivan rejected his friend Abigail to help her cross the river and be with Sinbad.
As a friend Ivan should have give enough attention on the dilemma of Abigail, it is unethical for him to just refuse right away without trying to help Abigail.
If I were to give advice for Abigail, I will definitely tell her to be very careful on her actions. The focal point of my advice for Abigail will be on decision making. Although, desperate that she is Abigail should not be careless with her decision just to accomplish her dilemma. Abigail should think of what would be the best for her, she should think critically before she makes her decision. Also, Abigail should be aware on the consequences of her decision in able to make the most efficient decision, which will definitely protect her to any harm. With this I am confident that Abigail will be protected from harm and danger.
