The report is concerned with the Cenique case study about the big data and cloud computing technologies(“AWS Case Study: Cenique”, 2017). The Cenique implemented and incorporated the Amazon Web services into their systems. The report would provide the current situation at the organization and also there are descriptions about the problems and their solutions in the report. In addition to this there would be a analysis of the situation that is at hand in ten present moment of time.
In the year 2013 Centique won the “Hong Kong ICT Best Business Product Award” and also in the year 2015 the product won the “Hong Kong ICT Gold Award for Best Smart HK – Big Data Application”. The company operates in 16 countries and consists of a small team that contains about 20 associates. The company operates form their headquarters at Hong Kong and have further branches at United States and India.
The Cenique Company was founded in the year 2012. The company is a Hong Kong based company and it is also known that the company is Analytics Company. The company provides its customers the cost effective procedures for the harnessing of the big data technologies and also the mobile technologies and also they provide the in store advertising and also the measurement of the audience services to their clients (Chen and Zang 2014). The organization provides the IntelliSense Audience Measurement tool for the clients and makes use of the in-store webcam that is stored in the connected to a media box that is android based. In addition to this, the system would be able to gather important information about customers that is their age, gender and the time of day that they visited the store in. The tools helped to provide the contents that were based on the age and the gender of the shoppers.

The customers have the requirements of the context-triggered content, the results of the data analysis are determine the media files that are to be provided from the servers that are to be provide to the customers that are the in-store shoppers (Kitchin 2013). The processes are very complicated and hence they require very efficient timing also quality and quick responses for the customers. In addition to this, the enterprise also required cost effective solution that would be helping them to control their budget. Also there are requirements of solutions that would be helping the organization to grow efficiently without having to worry much about the success and the reputation of the company. There also a requirement for the big data analytics for the company and also they would be requiring lighting fast networking facilities for the implementation of this technologies.
The company had faced various type of problems and for this the company is looking to implement the Amazon Web Services and also the Microsoft Azure Services. The company made a final choice of opting for the AWS as because they offer a wide range of services. The AWS provide big data analytical tools and also they provide a better available and also provide a superior integration of the Linux environments. Additionally, the analytics that are to be run would be providing a far superior service rather than the on-site servers for the company. Additionally The IT staffs for the company would be able to implement the entire operations of the company on the Amazon web cloud within a span of one month (Mourdoch and Detsky 2013). This would be very helpful for the company. In addition to this, the company would be able to operate directly on the cloud with the need for the incorporation with the third party vendors. The team that would be implementing the services online would be able to do it just with the help of the online documentation. The transitions for the company during the implementation procedures were also very smooth, quick and straightforward. The company is having In-stores cameras that are installed in their stores. The cameras are made to be in compliance with the privacy laws. The data of the customers are extracted anonymously by the company and the web services tools. The Connection are also very secure which can be very beneficial for the company. The AWS provides the company the facilities for the processing up to five Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud instances before they are being achieved in the in the Amazon Storage Services bucket (Jagadish et al 2014). The company also makes use of the Amazon S3 for the storage of the prerecorded advertisement that can be very easily transferred to the Amazon CloudFront that can be easily transferred to the client. The Auto Scaling and the Elastic Load Balancing are used for ensuring that the traffic that is incoming is distributed evenly throughout the network.
The Cenique makes use of the Amazon Management Console and also the Amazon cloud watch for controlling and monitoring of the network that is existing within the company. The security of the network is provided by the Amazon private cloud (Provost and Fawcett, 2013). This contains several subnets that would be helping in the security of the different sectors of the network. Additionally the solution would able to provide the company to preserve the original network, which was built with the Linux and Java platforms; they include a large data warehouse.
The Amazon Web Services provide a rate deal of versatility to the company (Swan 2013). The integration made by the solution to the company and their products was very smoothly done and also the there was no scope for the time being wasted for the integration procedures and also in addition tom this, the critical phase of the business programs were very easily managed by the system.
The Company was freed form the cost that they had to incur due to the maintenance of the network and also the company started saving their money almost with an immediate effect. The operational expenditure of the company saved by 60 percentages. Hence, the company was allowed more time and money for expanding their businesses that would have helped them to grow rapidly (Wu et al. 2013). The company was freed for the lagging data processing procedures and also the company had a very excellent experience of 100 percent uptime. The company made use of the self hosted custom algorithms that were uploaded in the Amazon Elastic cloud computing servers. This helped the company to manage and navigate through a large amount of data remotely for other locations. The scaling facilities provided by the AWS Auto Scaling facilities have helped them efficiently that has helped them to run the data analytics with rate that is 40 times faster than the previous time that the company took to conduct the procedures.
The amount of time that was taken by the system to complete all the calculations were being increased by the company. This has also provided some encouragement for the company to expand its businesses across Europe and Asia. Although this would be only possible if the customers do not face the network latency that is unwanted by the customers. As a result of this the procedures that took s months of operations that were to be conducted only took a week for the procedures to be completed (Raghupati and Raghupati 2014). The company had taken only a week for establishing their network over Japan. Currently work is going on over the wifi and the Bluetooth connections so that it would provide the company to have deeper insights on the sort of shoppers that makes entry into the shop and provide a deeper detail for them. The company would be able to evaluate and optimize their sales procedures and also the merchandise that they are providing the customers with. In addition to this company has also been able to enhance their security and also have been able to protect both the data of the company and also their clients. After the use of the AWS services and the big data technologies that are incorporated with them they have data 10 times more than that they had before the implementations.
Conclusions
For conclusion it can be easily said that, the AWS services have provided a great deal of help to the Cenique services and has enabled them to grow in their businesses across different parts of the world. In addition to this report deals with the big data and the cloud computing analytics. The report has been used to provide very important features of the cloud and the big data technologies that are important for the companies.
