Therefore, I would like to emphasize that organizations should be very careful with choosing a CEO. Companies run by people with high ethical standards do not need detailed rules and procedures to act in the interests of shareholders.

However, people are more likely to perceive their own interests, seeking ways to cut corners and make things look better than they actually are. Corporate governance is therefore of utmost importance in any organization to limit CEO almightiness and protect shareholders interests.
