For instance the Australian Job market has a strong future because of the increasing number of people who are ready to work (Challis et al., 2018). There is an expected growth in the Australian job market because of not only an increasing demand for goods and services but also for the berceuse many people are retiring, because they are dropping out of their education, bad various other reasons. In these changing scenarios in the employment market, the service industry is likely to have the highest growth. There are many organizations that are also engaged in providing voluntary services to the society. Due to the changes in the job market, there will also be a change in the recruitment trends in the near future. The career therefore chosen for the purpose of this study is nursing and it is belongs to the health care industry. The main aim of the paper is to understand the Australian job market and the trends associated with the same. The paper will therefore discuss about examination of the job market, examination of a paid occupation, examination of an unpaid occupation and examination of the recruitment process.
The present Australian job market is growing continuously because of not only the increased number of workers seeking jobs but for various other reasons- workers are retiring and as a reason the number of jobs available in the market is increasing, works are changing jobs more rapidly than before, they are deciding to travel and various others (Employment.gov.au., 2019). The present Australian job market is showing a trend of increase in the jobs in the service areas of construction, social assistance and health care, training and education, technical, scientific and professional services. The strongest growth in employment is expected in these areas by Ivan Nivelle, who belongs to the employment department and others. The trend of technological changes including artificial intelligence and automation are creating a challenge for various careers and are affecting the Australian job market as well and therefore in order to make the career future proof, certain industries and job are recognized that can be taken up by employees. Therefore people need to look for jobs that include interaction of people and jobs that are dependent upon people skills, decision making and creativity. There is a trend of infrastructural investment in Australia such as in railways, airways, and others therefore a growth is also expected in the construction jobs because people will need more houses for increasing population (Duys et al., 2008). There is a trend of increasing demand of all the qualified workers in consulting services, management services and various others. Furthermore there is an increasing demand for child care, and various other types of services because of the increasing ageing population in Australia and also because of the National Disability Insurance scheme of Australia.
There is an increasing trend of involvement of people into sports and various other recreational activities and that will drive the need for more hospitality services jobs in Australia such as Tourism, food services, accommodation and various others (Gibaldi, 2013). Especially all those jobs that require skills of human beings are the ones that is on an increasing demand such as registered nurses, child cares, waiters and various other similar jobs careers. Therefore there is a need for proper training in addition to the basic education provided to them. Vocational, education and training qualifications are required. The careers that are on an increase in general belong to the Industry of Social assistance and health care, technical, professional and scientific services, construction industry and training and education and the reason behind the same is that these industries are mostly depended upon the interaction between people and therefore are based on people skills. Some of major careers within these industries that are on a demand and are also going to be in demand in the future are- Aides and Carers, personal services and sports workers, health professionals, ICT professionals, Workers of food trades, hospitality workers, welfare, social and legal workers (Guan et al., 2014). It also includes- Horticulture and skilled animal workers, specialist managers and various others. On the other hand, there are certain industries that spend on machines for their work are expected to see lower growth in the future and there is also a reducing number of employees or workers in the same field.
These industries basically include wholesale trade, manufacturing, mining and forest, fishing and various others. There will be a decline in the wholesale trade industry because the customers are now directly reaching the source and therefore are cutting off any intermediaries. This is so because the popular brands are engaged in providing high quality products at economic prices to the customers and they are able to do so by eliminating the intermediaries. Therefore all those industries are dependent upon technology including machines and others will see a decrease in employment growth.
The career that has been chosen by me or interests me the most in this changing job market scenario is the nursing profession within the health care industry. The health care industry provides job opportunities by way of various professional careers such as- nursing, medical assistant, home health aide, profession of general physician, non-physician and various others. A medical assistant is a person who is engaged in doing administrative work in the hospital or the doctor’s office. A home health aide provider is one who is engaged in helping the patients who are bound in their homes and therefore they help the patient in their day to day activities like bathing, cooking and various others (Lane, 2019). Physicians are the ones who diagnose problems in the patient and then treat the same. Nursing profession includes people who look after the health and care of patients mad therefore their work includes providing coordinated care to patients and also includes providing emotional support to the patients and also their families in case of their treatment. The expected trends in the health care industry incudes in Australia is- more investments in the health care sector infrastructure, digital transformation is taking place in the industry and therefore artificial intelligence and various other technologies are being made use of in the same industry, the industry is aiming at improving the patients experience for fast recovery with the use of various innovative and people skills. There are various cultural changes taking place and optimisation of workforce and there is also a trend fast ageing process. Therefore these are the main reasons for all the changes taking place in the health care industry which is also making it a preferred to work for by all the workers.
The career chosen by me in the field of health care is office manager. An officer manager is responsible for controlling and organizing resources and functions within the organization in form of administrative services and various others. Within the career of an office manager, I can do the work of manager of health care, are responsible for providing proper treatment to the patients, diagnostic and various others. I also have the job to do proper billing and budgeting; enduring regular supplies of medical equipment’s and also may be responsible for establishment of various policies and procedures. I can also be made responsible for operations in the health care sector. I have the job of looking after various medical services in the hospitals and various others.
Some of the major task and activities of the office manager of the health care sector includes- contribution to the planning and reviewing of various services of the office, setting various standards of the office and also setting priorities. It includes allocation of human resource, equipment and space. Therefore being an office manager, I will be required to allocate work and also see that it is being performed properly or monitoring also becomes important. They will be responsible for maintaining accounts and records belonging to the office. Coordinating the business of the office by proper liaising activities with various professionals and also they help in solving various problems. I will need to ensure that the all the office properties such as equipment’s and buildings are maintained properly and are therefore engaged in managing the physical facilities properly. I will also need to ensure compliance with various standards as laid down by the occupational health and safety. The office manager also needs to see that their work complies with the policies, procedures and legislation of the government. I am also engaged in carrying out various activities such as promotion, hiring, payroll, training and various others. The training and educational requirements of this career is that I need to have some experience previously in the health care industry only then I can become an office manager. Various types of formal qualifications are also required to be obtained by me for occupying the position of office manager. I need to undertake the VET or the Vocational education and training as this is the educational requirement for becoming an office manager. The salary of an office manager of entry level is approximately 55,982 dollars. On the other hand, office managers with experience will be eligible for a salary of 61,378 dollars approximately. Therefore it can be seen that the office managers with experience are more likely to get a hike in their salaries (Halcomb & Ashley, 2017). The skills learned from this profession can be made use in various other jobs that require the same skills. For instance- the skills gained during the course of office manager is that of interpersonal skills, leadership skills, communication skills, technical, analytical skills and various others. Therefore these skills can be made use by an individual in the career of health care administrator or manager or even as a health care consultant and various other careers.
The Australian health care system is known universally because they provide affordable health care services for all Australians (Australian Government Department of Health., 2019). It is run by the Australian government. The system of public hospitals with the Medicare provides cost effective services to the various Australians. Therefore these facilities aim at reducing the out of pocket expenses of the Australian citizens and also help them to take advantage of the quality services. There are various health care providers in Australia such as medical specialists, nurses, health workers and various other people. People in Australia may also select to get treatment beyond the government health care systems that is through private health care’s systems. There is private health insurance and it includes- hospital cover and cover for general treatment of various non-medical services related to health. This system of the Australian health care sector has an impact on the economy because it helps in collecting the same in form of Medicare levy and there are surcharges that are charged additionally for all those people with higher incomes and there is a reduction of the same from the income of the eligible people and a lower amount is deducted from the income of the people with lower incomes (The Australian Government, 2019).
The volunteer organisation that I am interested to work in is Mission Australia that is a charity institution that is engaged in providing a variety of community services throughout Australia. It employees about 1750 volunteers and about 2800 staff and provides its services to children, young people, adult people and to various other segments of the society. They provide services related to homeless people, early learning, people suffering from disability and various others. Being a part of the volunteers of the Mission Australia I will be responsible for taking part in the various programs undertaken by the institute to help reduce the homelessness. I can donate some money, clothes and other material that can be made use by them; I can inform them about all those institutes that can help them in their present situation. I can try to talk to them such that I can reduce the stress that they are presently going through because of their homelessness. The tasks that will be required to be done by me are that I will try to manage their mental condition because the homeless people go through a lot of trauma and mental stress. Then I will try to provide some shelter for them through various programs of the company and I will also provide food and various other essential goods to them. I will try to behave empathetically with them and also try to be patient with them as they may be facing various mental problems (Smith-Merry et al., 2015). I will try to find out if they have any house because there are many cases when the army men are asked to leave their houses because of their behavioural problems after they leave their service. One the army men retire from they have many problems in their homes because others may find it difficult to adjust with them and therefore they become homeless. Therefore I will talk to their family members to take them back and ensure them that they will be given proper psychological assistance. I am attracted to this institution because I feel that homelessness is one of the major social evils for any country and the rates of homelessness are quite high in Australia.
Furthermore I feel very bad for all army men because most of the homeless people are the army men and therefore I want to help them in this phase of their lives and as a result I have chosen this institute. Homelessness is a social evil and ultimately affects the economy as a whole because it has impact on its surroundings and also affects the sustainability of the country. It also involves a lot of cost because it causes family dysfunction and it can also lead to various other problems. The education and training required for the same purpose is the basic training for health care such as training regarding dealing with various skills problems, for the nutritional intake, malfunctioning of various body parts, and others. Basic education in human psychology is required to understand the psychology of others. This will help me in understanding the thinking of others and it may also help the volunteers to empathetically talk to the homeless people. I may also undertake various other programs such that I will be in a better position to help them. I can also get a job as a permanent and paid staff in the same institute. The skills that are needed for this job is being empathetic, having good communication skills, being compassionate with others, having patience and the leadership skills. With the help of these skills I can get the job that requires the same skills for instance I can get a job as a staff of the institutes providing various social services.

The morgan consulting company is one that is engaged in providing a high class customer experience to all those employers looking for employees and all those employees looking for employers. They aim at providing the best recruitment activities with the help of their experienced staff who have been there in the same field since a very long period of time. They have experience in a variety of fields and therefore help by providing recruitment in various fields. Alliance recruitment agency is one of the most known agencies in the country because they are engaged in providing high quality staffing solutions to its people. The latest trends for companies seeking to recruit new employees over the next five years are diversity, soft skills, strategies to retain and retrain, bias free hiring process, optimizing the experience of the candidate and increased recruitment of veteran army men.
Organizations are now looking to employee people from diversified cultures because diverse people bring diverse benefits to the organization and help organization meet their objectives more easily (Molloy, Smith & Wozniak, 2017). Organizations are looking for employees with soft skills such as effective communication skills, interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, social skills and various others. Therefore organizations are looking for employees who have the ability to properly interact with others and carry out work harmoniously. The organizations are aiming at recruiting all those employees whom they feel they can retain and retrain such that their cots can be saved for the longer run. The organizations of the present generations understand the effect of bias in recruitment process on the people and therefore they are aiming at a recruitment process that is bias free. The organizations today are also understanding the Impact of a poor recruitment process on the people and are therefore trying to improve their experience.

From the above diagram, the main reasons for poor candidates experience can be seen. The organizations are further aiming to provide opportunities to veteran army men because they are the ones who are unemployed. This is leading to further wicked problems such as homelessness which in turn leads to various other problems. Adelaide health care, Ashford cancer centre, Calvary health care and various others are the company that I am presently targeting for the purpose of employment. I have chosen these companies after doing a lot of research on various websites such as seek.com and others. I will find in in details about each company and the position that I am looking for before making an application in that company.
The ways in which I could seek employment with the desired companies are- by searching the career sites, by searching the company websites, try to build networks with people from those companies because many jobs are not advertised and it is only through these networks that I can get information about job vacancy. I can take the help of various consulting agencies and recruiters to get information about any job vacancy in the chosen organization. The best recruitment option for me will be to take the help of recruiters and consultancy agencies because once they are paid they take up the responsibility of informing about all job vacancies in the desired organization and the chosen position.
Conclusion
Therefore from the above discussion, it can be concluded that it is necessary to understand the job market and its trends because it will help in understanding an individual to understand in which industries they should get a job such that they can have a secured career. As we have seen from the discussion, that not all the industries are growing in the growing job market in Australia only a few of them are growing and it includes- social assistance and health care, training and education, construction and scientific, professional and technical services. There are industries which are on a decline as well such as the manufacturing, mining and various others. All these information has been drawn by examining the job market. By examination of the paid occupation, the career that interests me the most in the present market scenario has been identified that is the nursing profession in the health care industry. Further by examination of the unpaid occupation, I have understood about the work of organizations that work for providing voluntary services to others. For this purpose mission Australia was studied. With the help of the recruitment examination, the recruitment market has been understood.
