While developing the above activities in MS Project, first we need to develop the Calendar (office, 2017) as per site requirement as below:
Working time: 07:00 to 19:00 Hrs
Working Days: Monday to Saturday
Weekly Off: Sunday
Public Holidays: Non-Working days (Australia. Australian Government, 2017)
Attach below the overall Gantt chart for the construction of Plant – Office – Warehouse complex .
After assigning resource name ‘Worker’ as the only type of resource required to complete the work package ‘Site preparation and utilities’, the resource histogram obtained as below:
From the above histogram, it is clear that we cannot work with only 1 resource per day, so more number of workers is required.
RIC (before leveling): (waste, 2017)
n= 40 days, R= say at 14th June it is 7 Nos., likewise
RIC = [40 x 435] ÷ [109 x 109]
= 17400 ÷ 11881 = 1.46
RUF (before leveling): (citehr, 2017))
RUF = Total used Resource ÷ Total Available
= 109 ÷ (40 x 20)
= 109 ÷ 800 = 0.14
Even though the available resource is more than required, the affect after leveling with respect to the available resources
