Living things are highly organized, all living things have an ability to acquire material and energy, all living things have the ability to respond to their environment, all living things have the ability to adapt, and all living things have the ability to reproduce.
According to this elementary definition of life, life begins at fertilization, when the sperm unites with an oocyte. Hulburt stated in her article that in 2009 the center for disease control reported nearly 410. 000 teenage girls gave birth in the United States and nearly one third of those births were intended. In conclusion, though there are many reasons for abortion to be legalized, it should still not be legal, because life begins at conception. There are also physical complication that could leave a women maimed or cause death. There are also psychological consequences that cause them to feel worthless as a woman because they failed at the most natural thing to a women, the role of being a mother.
