The tenth month following the month of Ramadan in the Islamic calendar. It is a time to give in charity (called zakat ul Fitr) to the needy, and to celebrate with family and friends the completion of a month of God’s blessings and rewards. Before Eid Day, during the last days of Ramadan, every Muslim family gives a certain sum as a donation to the poor. This donation is money or real food (rice, barley, dates, rice, etc.
) To ensure that people in need can enjoy a festive meal and participate in the celebration and confirm the solidarity of society. This donation is known as zakat ul-fitr (charity in rapid rupture).
For Silver, the standard nisab is 21 ounces of silver (612.36 grams) or its cash equivalent. For gold, the standard nisab is 3 ounces of gold (87.48 grams) or its cash equivalent. (Note: check the value of gold and silver in the local currency)
You will also have the option to print this summary to keep a Zakat logbook paid each year.Zakaat compulsory:Another type of Zakat that is Wajib (mandatory) for Muslims is Zakah al-Fitr, often called Sadaqah al-Fitr. The word Fitr means the same as Iftar, breaking a fast and comes from the same root as Futoor, which means breakfast.
Therefore, the Islamic Zakah al-Fitr is the name given to charity that is distributed towards the end of Ramadan. The amount of Zakah is the same for everyone, regardless of the different income levels. The minimum amount is a Saa (two handfuls) of food, grain or dried fruit for each family member. This calculation is based on the report by Ibn Umar that the Prophet (PBUH) made Zakah al-Fitr obligatory and payable for a Saa of dried dates or a Saa of barley.
Comrade Abu Sa’eed al-Khudree said:”At the time of the Prophet, we used to give (Zakat al-Fitr) as a food Saa, dried dates, barley, raisins or dry cheese.”Animal point view:The nisab for sheep is 40. A person who has less than 40 sheep does not give zakat for them. A person who has 40 to 120 sheep gives only one sheep. Two sheep are given for 121 to 200 sheep. 3 sheep are given between 201 and 400 sheep. Four sheep are given for 400 sheep and one sheep is added for every hundred other sheep.A person who has 5 camels gives 1 sheep. A sheep will be assigned for a maximum of 9 camels (included). A person with 10 to 14 camels (included) gives 2 sheep. You have to give 3 sheep for 15 to 19 camels (included) and 4 for 20 to 24. For 25 or 35 camels a camel is given which is in its second year. From 36 to 45 camels a young camel is given in his third year. From 46 to 60 camels there is a female camel who is in her fourth year and can carry a load. The calculation continues in some quantities as the number of camels increases. The zakat of sheep and goats is the same whether they are male or female.
Zakat is not given to lambs who have not completed their first year. But if one has sheep, it also includes lambs in the calculation. This is the case of camel and cow calves. A lamb is never given as a zakat. If the animals that graze in the fields free for more than half of the year are bred for breeding or milk, they are called saima. If you reach the nisab in number, you need to supply zakat. If they are kept for their wool or to transport loads or to assemble, then they are not called saima, and it is not necessary to give them zakat. (Mawqufat)That is, if they do not graze in the fields for free, but remain at home, they are not given zakat even if they are kept for reproduction or for meat and milk. Zakat is not given to animals if they are required to plow, load or mount..
Zakat must be paid even if they have not reached puberty. Zakat must be done with whatever money the Nisab has reached regardless of the age of the owner. In fact, it was reported that the Prophet had recommended investing an orphan’s money so that it was not reduced by zakat.Amro bin Shu’aib narrated the authority of his father who reported the authority of his grandfather, the authority of Abdullah bin ‘Amro (RAA) that the Messenger of Allah () said: “One who becomes the guardian of the an orphan, who owns a property, must exchange his name and must not leave it (saved and unused) until it is eaten by Zakah (which is paid annually). “Related to At-Tirmidhi and Ad-Daraqutni with a weak narrative chain .Al-Hadid (57:18)The truth, those who give sadaqat (ie zakaat and alms, etc., men and women, and lend to Allah good, will increase substantially (in their favor), and their reward will be honorable (ie, heaven)In the previous ayat, Allah promised to increase all good works (those that lend to Allah good) in many (Allah will give more than he gave to charity ). Share your wealth with the poor.
