Discuss About The Unsuccessful Attempts At Environment Protection.
Environment protection refers to the practices related to the protection of the natural environment on the various levels like the individual levels, the levels that are controlled by the organizations and those that are controlled by the government of the country. The environment protection is mainly required for the beneficial activities on the part of human beings and the environment that surrounds them (Halkos and Paizanos 2013). The various actions that have been taken by the various governmental bodies and the other organizations have been considered to be largely unsuccessful as observed in the recent times. The various legislative acts as well as those that are implemented by the organizations seem to face a huge failure in the matters that pertain to the protection of the environment wherein they have been operating. The following essay deals with the unsuccessful attempts that are put forth by the governmental bodies and the multitude of organizations that have been operating within the concerned national territories. The essay outlines the various legislative measures that have been undertaken by the governmental bodies active all over the world in order to bring forth the protection of the environment. The essay further proceeds towards the concluding sections with the discussion on the ways in which the various organizations might affect the environment protection.
The governmental bodies that have been active all over the world tends to put forth various innovative and unique ideas that might help in the matters that pertain to the protection of the environment all over the world. These measures might include the implementation of the various acts that might also include the several multinational agreements that have been signed among the various nations of the world. The most effective and the major multinational agreement however refers to the Kyoto Protocol. The Kyoto Protocol majorly dealt with the issue of global warming and had been signed by almost 37 countries. The signatory countries had agreed upon the implementation of the various measures that pertained to the restrictions imposed on the emissions of the greenhouse gases that might have been the predominant reason behind the increment of the global warming while the other reason behind the same being the emission of the human made carbon dioxide (Lu et al. 2015). The proponents of the classic liberalism state that the environmental protection might depend on the improvement of the information that is needed for the areas of the improvement on the environment. However, I feel that the various matters pertaining to the protection of the environment like the issues of global warming and the protection of the endangered species (Sternberg 2014). The might put forth the regulations that are related to the matters of the regulation of the carbon dioxide emissions and the funding related to the alternative energy systems that might be needed for the protection of the environment that is present in the world (Smith, Pearce and Wolfe 2013). The governmental bodies that have been active all over the world might also be advised to take measures on the conditions that are prevalent in those areas of the world that are prone to the natural disasters. The government might also make the arrangements that are needed for the relocation of the people who have been living in the disaster-prone areas in order to deal with the conditions that might arise in case the area is struck by any natural calamity (McCright, Xiao and Dunlap 2014). The governmental policies might also need to include the areas that include the consumption of food that hampers the health of the people residing within the territories of the concerned nation. However, the recent studies on the governmental activities all over the world suggest that the various environment protection acts that are followed within the nations all over the world have failed to protect the environment in the concerned areas (Kong, Liu and Dai 2014). There have been instances wherein the environment protection acts within the country have been provided with enough protection by the concerned governmental bodies thereby leading to the improvement of the environmental conditions.
The various conditions of the environment are also found to be dependent on the actions undertaken by the multitude of business organizations that have been active all over the world. The business organizations might also need to implement the measures that are needed for the proper functioning of the environment that is present within the areas of functioning of the concerned organization (Jasiulewicz-Kaczmarek and Dro?yner 2013). I personally feel that the human beings might need to alter certain actions on their part in order to deal with the matters pertaining to the environmental factors that have been functional within the territorial boundaries of the concerned country. The organizations might be advised to look into the matters that pertain to the sewage facilities of the concerned area. These factors might hamper the stability that exists within the surrounding environment or the ecosystem of the country (Williams and Schaefer 2013). The organizations that deal with the production of refined oils and natural gases, the production of the various medicines might be especially advised to look into the matters that are related to the betterment of the environment. The other factors pertaining to the environmental sustainability that might be altered by the numerous business organizations that are functional within the territorial boundaries of the country. The concerned management of the organizations are advised to put forth the awareness among the members of the workforce of the organization in order to deal with the matters that pertain to the protection of the environment. I feel that the organizational workforce must be trained and made aware of the various environmental disasters that might arise due to the improper treatment of the waste products as well as the harmful by products that have been manufactured by the concerned organization. These might also include the various matters that relate to the disposal of the waste products that are generated within the scope of the manufacture of the various products (Fraj, Martínez and Matute 2013). The environmental sustainability might also be dealing with the air pollution and the emission of the greenhouse gases and emission of the other harmful gases like carbon dioxide and the chlorofluorocarbons that might be emitted at the various factories that have been present within the manufacturing unit of the concerned company (Bocken et al. 2014). The automobile companies, I feel, should be advised to manufacture automobiles that emit a lesser percentage of carbon dioxide (Camilleri 2015). The concerned organizations might also be persuaded to stop the drainage of the various toxic and hazardous materials into the nearby environment thereby preventing the attempting to protect the environment from the pollution (Wakabayashi 2013). Thus, it might be derived that the various organizations that are active within the world has not been successful in the matters that pertain to the protection of the environment.
Conclusion
In lieu of the above discussion, it might be pointed out that the environmental sustainability is a huge concern in the present world. The environmental balance of the world is observed to be an issue of concern in the present scenario. The various actions that have been undertaken by the governmental bodies that are active within the world as well as the multitude of the business organization for the protection of the environment have been observed to be largely unsuccessful in the recent times.
